When next she spoke, he shared her gaze, forlorn though it was. Ambrose, a cougar, disappeared. Natjuk listens and stores the information away. On his travels, he might come across this Ambrose. Or a disagreeable feline. Either way, he's not meandering west of here. His experience with cats is zilch and he would like to keep it that way.

In response to the girl's stresses, Natjuk eases some of the stoniness in his features. He was a hardass, but not without a heart.
