Gilded Bay up on the sun, lookin' sad and beautiful

he really can't get over how beautiful the coast is. he'd visited a beach with mo- with the queen once. it hadn't been as nice as the place he's visited these last few days, so he'd never thought much of it. now, wandering through the bay, he can't help but wonder about exactly how much he's been missing out on all this time. but that's kind of a depressing thought, and he tries not to entertain those anymore. so he decides to distract himself, approaching the water's edge with his gaze trained on the horizon, unblinking as if he might memorize the sight if he stares long enough. who knows, he might need to; he's learned by now that freedom can be all too fleeting.
