He was a little confused with her answer--well more like the delivery of it. She answered his question like he asked her if she liked to eat fish or something while basically admitting to sometimes wanting to die. Wow. He didn't really know what to say to that. Even when he found out that most of his family was likely dead, he hadn't wanted to die. He was a warrior and used pain as a source of strength, or so he told himself. Uh, well, that would be a waste, don't you think? He didn't know what else to say about it.

He shook his head at her apology; it wasn't needed. The ocean lures me as well, he replied, choosing not to press her for more information on her tribe. She could speak more about it if she wished to do so. His focus remained on the waves and their almost hypnotizing rhythm. It is equally beautiful and dangerous, he added, gaze never leaving the water. He always thought he'd like his mate to be the same way.
