If Addison had expected her to step down, she was about to be sorely disappointed. She called Cyclone names with nothing to back it up, and she went on to claim that the Odolfs had taken her in like she was a defenseless creature without them. The Odolf sisters ganged up on her then, two against one was not the kind of odds that were in her favor, so Cyclone would bide her time. There was no chance that Addison or her pathetic sister would come to a position of power when their husbands were chosen. How could they, when the Odolf men held all the power.

Although she did not back down, Neasa also did not move forward. She stood where she was, keeping her calm while the two sisters lost face in front of the crowd. Cyclone’s attention turned to the rest of the crowd once more. Remember this day, she said to them, remember how Addison shot baseless insults at an equal and sought power she would never have.
