no worries, I've done worse XD
haha, it cracked me up! I needed that, to be honest.
and crap, I would've given anything for a hit there!

When she narrowed her eyes, the message was clear: play-time was over. Embry lowered his snout, which he had before carried quite high (and not without a hint of feigned haughtiness). A nickname, eh? He liked the sound of that. Two could play at that game.
He was caught off guard by her full-on charge, having anticipated her to - like most wolves of her lithe stature - make sport of her swift build and slip in and out of the attack; always one step ahead. Now, however, she was at least four steps ahead of him. He chided himself for that fault of overthinking, and made a mental tag not to jump to such hasty conclusions.
The pearly, white female was on him in a blur, pummeling into his shoulder as he watched in utter surprise. For being so much smaller than he, she managed to pack a punch. The force of the blow was enough to cause him to stagger, rolling in an attempt to absorb the momentum but wincing all the same. Well, that's gonna hurt in the morning, he thought with dry humor.
There she was again, trying to find his nape. He had no choice now but to take the defensive, and so, abandoning his former hopes for dealing a blow, he employed his second-best strategy: going with the flow. He exhaled so as to make sure his lungs were safe from getting the air knocked out of them, before the strength of the female combined with his own muscular pumping of the legs sent him reeling backwards.

I stopped an old man along the way,
hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies.
He turned to me as if to say, "Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you".
