Slavik didn’t notice at first that he’d fallen on top of her - if he were in a more calm state he would’ve, and hastily stood and apologized. But he could only feel and think fear, in that moment he could’ve sworn the cat was upon him again, tearing more flesh from his back. For a moment he was still frozen, but not of fear. It was a confused bliss, he didn’t know what he was doing, and he wasn’t thinking about it; he was just there, feeling her breath and losing himself in her beautiful gaze.

And then he snapped out of it with a blink. He all too quickly became aware of where he was, and how he was positioned. His eyes widened and he scrambled back just as she began to wriggle, a stammering jumble escaping his mouth between breaths, uh uhhh oh no. His head ducked, total embarrassment scrawled across his features. His next words came out quickly, I am so so sorry, I didn’t mean to fall on you there was a cat.
