It didn't feel real, and it didn't feel good.

After the awkward face-off with the Sunspire, Bazi had retreated to clean her wounds and generally recover from the day's ordeal. Tomorrow, she would summon the pack once more - to confirm her position as leader and sort out the details of how Swiftcurrent Creek would be ruled henceforth. If things went as planned, her rule would be different enough from Fox's to keep those that were still undecided from moving on.
