There hadn't been time to see to Danica's wounds. Bazi would not have known what to look for, exactly, but had always figured that simply being there lessened the hurt. She was not so sure now, following her scuffle with Fox - there would be hell to pay in the morning, when the adrenaline wore off and she had to face up to her injuries. Bazi was not a fighting wolf.

Her thoughts drifted as she ran. Would Danica follow her, when this was over? They had great rapport, but she could not tell if it would weather more trying times. The golden female was older than Bazi by almost double - but then, Njal was older still. Perhaps if she appointed a Beta.. but who would they trust now? Bazi's exhaled in quick, hot gasps now, running hard despite feeling the effects of lactic acid in every cell.
