The most important one is Meldresi, the Night Mother. She is the wife of Sithis, the God of the Void. Think of evil and then think of nothing at all — emptiness. That is what Sithis governs."

Marruz paused here to gauge how the slyph was internalizing everything. Was this too much to digest? When he had first been exposed to the notion, he had felt that the world had become a completely different place. Even today, the thought of such divine interaction was difficult to fully comprehend.
