What little time Damien had spent back in blackfeather woods was spent covering as much land as he could rubbing himself against trees after pissing and shitting had reached its limit. The place was for the most part rather empty an unkempt, and the scents of Ramsay and Maegi were faint at best. there weren't many others with them yet, and so Damien was confident.

But when Damien closed in on the caves at the center of the territory the scents got stronger, and he discovered some new ones that he wasn't accounting for. He summoned @Flicker (who he already saw as a potentially good scout and informant) with a sharp bark, and instructed the others in his team to sweep the caves to claim them. He and the red woman had a more important task to do before Nyx's party arrived and it was to make sure that Spiderlings' glen was clean and secure.
