Then, he flashed Khali a mightily apologetic look before he could even find his voice to explain, or attempt to. He really hoped he had not misheard. This was going to be a mistake if he had, somehow, but he swallowed his doubts and pressed on, hoping that the shiva might understand where he came from with this interjection.
