The sound of the frogs eventually drew Breccan's gaze away from the sky, and simultaneously, the bird winged away. It headed toward Wisteria, and had Breccan followed its flight path with his gaze, there was a small chance that he might have noticed her. As it happened, though, he did not see her figure far in the distance; instead, he watched as a fat frog flopped from the bank of the muddy creek and into the water with a delightful plop.

It was only by happenstance that he caught sight of another familiar entity; the wind was not blowing in his favor, and left him noseblind. But, despite the considerable space between them, he recognized Nuna's feathered coat with its darker points, and his heart gave a leap of excitement. She didn't seem to have spotted him yet, and it would have been much too simple for him to call out to her. Instead, he stepped carefully out of the water and began to trot briskly towards her, closing the gap between them.

When he was a bit closer, he crouched among a patch of cattails and did his best impression of a frog, emitting a low-pitched ribbit.
