This was the season where night overtook things more quickly. Bishop knew it couldn't be too late, or so her internal clock said, yet already the skies were beginning to blacken and the air grew colder. Oh but she'd already seen this all before, the changing seasons was not new in any sense though the creeping hours always did catch her a bit off guard. One morning she would just wake up to darkness and think 'Fall is truly here.' Much like today, as the dark wolf stared off into the horizon, past the spindly conifer trees, toward a setting sun she knew Autumn was here. Winter not far behind.
Turning swiftly, the Bishop began to move further east and into Neverwinter forest where the close growing trees helped to hold in the heat. Long gone were her days in the red canyon, erased by season upon season of deep woodland and coastal living. Now she knew how to use the world to her advantage and slipped in through the trees as they grew tighter - but not too tight. Sunlight filtered through the bare trunks, painting everything gold no matter what the natural color was. Bishop sighed in wonder, taking in her surroundings. Nature's beauty, that is one thing she would never tire of.
