well, his traitorous father and his stinky, lumpy little sister had ventured out into the great unknown together and left aengus to play with the new-old kid (who wasn’t very playful if we’re being honest) and his sleepy littermates (also not very fun to play with). the young boy had not been pleased with being abandoned so frequently by his supposedly doting and loving parents. the little bull felt like he had spent more time with strangers than he had his own flesh and blood.
 
taking it upon himself, aengus ventured out and trailed quietly after the scent of his father. his tracking skills were abysmal, but he did well enough that he was able to keep track of where rannoch had wandered. when the aroma grew stronger, aengus lifted his head and with a cheery smile, he sang into the trees, “daaaaaaaddy! i’m heeeeeeeere!”
