His littermates had become such distant memories for him and frankly by this point, he too liked to picture them doing well--surviving at least, comfortable in wherever it was that their lives took them, in whatever capacity they needed. That was probably all he would ever need to know about them anyway, and the little bit about Larkspur was uplifting enough for him. Even without ever seeing her again, at least knowing that life had turned around for her was something he could take some solace in.
