All of this happened very quickly, but time seemed to slow for an instant as Breccan waited for the impact that he assumed would come when Nuna tripped over him. Somehow, though, she managed to twist her body over him and avoid bumping into him, but she still wound up sprawled in the mud opposite him. He un-braced himself and sat up, muck dripping from his face as he grinned up at her. She darted in close for a moment of teasing, then backed up enough to drop down and laugh openly at him.

He was chuckling too, and his laughter only doubled as he pushed himself up onto all fours. Moving quickly, he straightened each of his legs, locking at the knee joints, and lowered his head slightly. His tail jutted out straight behind him. He hoped to catch her off guard, but he also knew that Nuna was an expert at reading body language, so there was a chance she would catch on and jump away before he began to shake -- which he did as swiftly as he could, sending mud flying in all directions.
