I'm making an assumption that Shadow and Ellie are on the same side of the river.
Something snapped inside Ellie at that point, as she listened to the male's jibber-jabber. Her eyes opened once again, she stood up, turned to face him, got as close as she dared to him, and screamed so loudly that it made her ears ring: "GO AWAY! YOU FUCKING MORON! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE, SO GO AWAY!" Her hackles rose and she snarled and moved toward him a bit more. "Go away or I swear to the Gods I will fucking kill you."
In reality, she was much too small to go about killing any wolf, but that wasn't in her mind at the moment. She was too angry, and the anger was brought about by excessive exhaustion, so she obviously wasn't thinking very clearly. If this guy didn't get the message even after all she had just screamed at him, then he deserved to be put out of his misery.
