Ellie could hear the change that had come over the male's voice, and it sent a not-good chill down her spine. He now sounded somewhat threatening to her (even though he wasn't trying to be and she was hearing things in his voice that weren't there), and that was her cue to leave. Although she had threatened him, in reality, she was a coward, and never would have attacked him in the first place. All at once the anger dissipated, and was replaced with the instinctual need to flee this potentially dangerous situation. She did not look at him again. Instead she rose to her paws carefully and quickly.

Without another word, she bounded away, towards Ravensblood Forest -- though she didn't know its name. If he would not leave, then she would. She would find the smallest, tightest-fitting hole to go hide in and take a nice long nap far away from anyone trying to disturb her slumber. And she would probably never think on this encounter ever again. It was, in fact, already far from her mind.
