He tasted blood, her blood. At least he had given the first cut even if she dodged the blow he gave. Suddenly she lunged at his chest from underneath him, he tried to defend himself but was only partially successful. As he rose up onto his hind legs, her teeth grazed him drawing a thin cut vertically on his chest. He ignored the pain and instead took the advantage while on his hind legs and tried to press his paws down on her shoulders, again attempting to push her down.
He was going to win this battle, no matter what. Thin scratches and cuts that might become scars did not matter now. The thirst for fighting had conquered him and he might as well fight as best as he could.
