Augustus had been sitting at the edge of a hotspring all morning. His eyes were permanently fixed on the horizon. The day of sacrifices was upon them. Soon The Savior would come and choose one of them for fuel. Who would it be this time? Perhaps she would take the scrawny one. Maybe her sights were set on someone larger like Omerus. Augustus sighed at the thought. Both of them had been with him for some time now, it'd be a shame to see one of them meet their fate. Oh well! Mustn't let inevitable thing weigh you down.
