Wheeling Gull Isle i've gone completely out of my mind

nüwu hovered just beyond the den, in the clearing outside littered by pebbles and grass. her mother was away for now it seemed, though perhaps she watched from some distant location- and although the fur did not prick along the girl's spine as it had before, the idea of being watched kept her well-behaved even when alone. she was far from the sea, and so it was easy to resist its pull and focus on the little world here. she sat on her haunches in the dust, batting a little round pebble back and forth between her paws- the picture child of boredom, and yet in truth far from it.
