pretty.huojin stood there, stiff and stuck at his mother’s side. incoming waves pushed sea debris toward his little paws but each time, he stepped back, unwilling to touch the water just yet.
he looked up at ruó, waiting for her to push onward, while simultaneously hoping that this might be the extent of their ‘swimming’ for the day.
