He afternoon nap was interrupted by the shining sun through the entrance of the den. She could see the sun and the bright blue sky. A bird flitered by, and then another. She had spent a lot of time at the entrance of the den, investigating their tiny corner of the world under the watchful gaze of their parents and trustworthy babysitters. But they were growing up fast. The princess was aching to explore the rest of the territory they were told about. The short trips with their parents wasn't enough. She wanted to see more, and do more. A meet more people. The princess was tired of being cooped up.
Lifting her head, she glanced around for her mother or father. Finding only her brother and sister, Sumi grew hopeful that they were alone. They had all been napping after all. Slowly Sumi shimmied her way out of the sibling sandwich and made her way up and out of the den. The sun only blinding her for a moment. The girl couldn't see anyone out here either! Were they alone?! OMG! Her excitement grew, and any sleepiness from just waking up quickly wore off. Her tail and her ears perking up, she took a few hesitant steps away from the entrance. Sure that an adult would pop out at any moment to stop her.
