Lone Star Mountain saving people

the mountain is barren; lackluster in everything. he is the only spot of color among the dull grey shades of rock; painted brighter by the roiling clouds overhead. a light drizzle had started a while ago and steadily picked up the further kronos ventured. a crack is heard in the distance, though he is unsure whether it is from the butting of ram horns or thunder breaking thru the sky. either way, he doesn't intend to stick around to find out. he draws in a deep breath; a sharp tang of slick rock and musky earth before seeking refuge in a yawning cave mouth. he pauses at the overhang, out of the pouring rain, and sniffs at the darkness. his main concern is of the ursine nature; satisfied when he scents nothing overly threatening ( bats and mold, mostly ) he ventures further in, trying to decide whether he wants to call it a day and bed near the entrance ( and thus far only escape ) or whether he wants to adventure further in.
