guardián’s hard-work guarantee hadn’t been abandoned yet. since joining, his days consisted largely of small hunts (unsuccessful) and sparring with bushes (uneventful), neither of which might have meant much from onlookers, but were very important to him.

this morning, the one and only time he did catch something — a chipmunk, maybe? — it was deposited outside of @Arbiter’s presumed den as a thank you for her generosity. then, he made his way toward the rendezvous to seek out a different afternoon pastime.
