She drew in a breath through clenched teeth; and then realized she'd probably not been terribly tactful to do so, when she noticed the swelling in the woman's leg from above the knee and back toward her hip. It would take quite a terrible force to do such a thing to a wolf- and would not be easy to heal. Given the placement, even walking without putting any pressure on that leg would have been agonizing. Just holding it up so her toes wouldn't drag would also be agonizing. Oryx's conclusion, then, was that without care- someone to feed her while she waited for weeks for the bone to heal, with no guarantee that her leg would ever be useful to her again- she would die. 

How to deliver that message? 

"Oryx." She said softly. She reminded herself of the technique of more or less wedging bad news in between two pieces of good news...But Oryx was not the type to dance around the topic. While she might've seemed somewhat aloof, she was nevertheless a very empathetic wolf. Distant, but empathetic. "Do you...Have someone, caring for you?" She asked. It would make all the difference if she had someone to feed her but- alas, propped up against a tree, she did not appear to have been granted the comfort of an attended patient.
