All welcome. Mature for gore. @Shadow if you want to join!
East.
Such an odd decision to move so far away from the riches of the Valley into the unknown of the wilds beyond. Skepticism kept her from making a definite decision. The scent trails they left were still thick and fresh with all things wolf, and it would not be a difficult thing for her to track them to their present location. Still, she was biding her time. She had not pledged her heart and soul to his cause, but he seemed a touch brighter than most and winter was soon upon them.
As the sun rose beyond the jagged spine of the peaks, Solveig busied herself with her task. In her jaws, as before on the Keep, she carried a singular limp rabbit. The blood of it dripped as she walked, staining the earth beneath a vivid red. Ahead was a small clearing where the thick canopy parted, and the skun could shine through. It bathed the ground in liquid gold.
The she-wolf approaches with the determined stride of someone fulfilling a purpose, and lays the rabbit in the middle of the dew-kissed grass. She bends and tears open the underbelly, scattering the organs and entrails; she catches the heart in her teeth and pulls it free to lay atop the rabbit's corpse. Finished, she steps back and throws a powerful howl up to the skies.
A few dark shadows whisk through the trees, and alight into the clearing. Two ravens; a pair bond. The male eyes Solveig suspiciously, but the she-wolf turns and retreats into the shadows once more where she lies down and observes the feast. A few crows attempt to bully their way from the corpse, but the ravens chase them off into the trees.
Solveig smiles.
