Osprey hadn't left Blacktail deer plateau since her return - catching up with everything that had happened during her absence, getting to know the other pack-mates had taken a lot of her time, leaving the rest for sleeping and hunting. Since she enjoyed both of the activities and therefore didn't want to give up any of them, the day she could actually venture outside the safe confines was a bit of a miracle.
It had started because of entirely practical matters - she had been following a scent of a roe deer, got lost somewhere along the way and eventually she was caught up in the "Imagination land". Because once an idea of a good story came to her mind, she had to bring it to a reasonable conclusion, so that she could pick it up and use it later. Therefore it was just a coincidence that she didn't tumble and fall in the river face first, when she reached the banks, because the sight and scent of an unknown wolf nearby snapped her out of the story she was making that very moment.
The wolf was quite well-built and good looking male with a coat draped in greys and silvers. Why are we all grey? She recalled Pura's innocent question and smiled to herself. If there were such cloud-walkers then this could definitely be one of their kind. She was standing in a distance, which made her comfortable and confident to spark up a conversation, because the words he said to the sky seemed very fitting for another nice story. "Greetings, stranger!" she called to him. "Looking for someone?"
