Blackfoot Forest The simorgh sleeps on velvet tongues

Hawkeye watched silently as Pied departed. It seemed as if her mind had been far-off, but the black wolf let it be. Her mouth parted slightly in awe as a wolf appeared next to Pied's side, but they vanished from site as the two moved further into the woods.

The giant female turned back toward the borders, taking her guard once more, but did so more of habit than pack defense now. She sighed and let a howl into the air, cracking through the shrieks that had started up from the resident foxes.

She thought of Pied's dream, and her own desires of family, as she walked the edges of Blackfoot Forest.
