All things considered he was pretty no-nonsense about it all. Maybe that was odd, but he wasn't a child any more. He was a responsible figure in the pack, he was an adult in all understandings of it. And Brou was not. Sure, she was just as old as him, but she certainly didn't seem to want to actually live up to her own age.
