Lake Rodney vienna

Ollie had slept in the forest to the east the night before, and was finally breaking through the trees now, around noon the following day. It was a beautiful day--the sun was shining, there was a floral scent in the air, and he could sense that he was near water. As he stepped out into the open, and saw the lake before him, he heard a low howl off in the distance. Friendly. His tail wagged in anticipation and he returned the howl (though it was much yippy-er than a wolf's), and took off at a steady lope, the undergrowth and stalks of flowers dragging at his belly and legs. It was truly a glorious afternoon. And, up ahead, he saw the woman who had called him. "Hullo!" he said, putting on a cheerful expression.
