The boy kept to himself any opinions or comments about --everything really. She suspected it would be hard to get an answer out of him, so far out of all the questions she had asked him all --but one-- were responded by body language alone. She appreciated that he at least answered but she didn't really understand why the boy kept up his mime act.
Was he afraid to speak?
The silence had settled between them since they had first laid eyes on one another, and though Yuda seemed comfortable --or rather indifferent of her presence; Amelie could not bear the silence. After clearing her throat loudly, driven by the fear that it might become dusty to the point she couldn't speak like him, she craned her elongated neck and peered into the male's obscure eyes.
"I think you're eyes are pretty", she barked, thinking that if she made him feel more at ease he might untie his tongue and speak. But it wasn't just to gain his trust, she genuinely thought there was some kind of magic hidden below the Night's eyes.
