Grovel? What was he, scum? What did he do to be forced to do such a pathetic act? He still, to this moment after such a long discussion with the sterling wolf, didnt know what he did wrong.

"I shall decide your fate later, be glad you aren't dead now, Erïksőn." spoke the wolf he had almost considered a friend.
Was killing Adair worth the small act of the discussion? Had Adair committed a crime that was worth the loss of his life?

Watching the hessian before him, Adair simply nodded, as the Praetor walked away.
Adair sat there, weary from such a draining conversation, and blacked out, his body, mind, and soul, trying to repair what the cold wolf had touched...and that was his heart.
