Summer was feeling good. Better than he had felt since he was a tiny pup nursing at his mother's bits. He had for so long been drowning in his anxiety that the euphoria at having found a cure was even greater and more exaggerated than he ever had experienced. Colors were brighter. Sounds were song-ier. Stuff was just.. funnier. And more pleasant. So much more pleasant.

The boy found himself venturing further and further from the Spire, something he hadn't done in the many moons he had been in the Wilds. It was liberating, getting out, getting experiences! Oh, the experiences! It had been such a long time since he had had such experiences. Not since traveling with his father, and even then they hadn't been so intoxicating, so invigorating. He was so alive!

Summer was also rather high.

The flowery taste of the poppy was still on his tongue. Or maybe that was simply his mind telling him so. Summer didn't even know to question it, just savored the flavor as he wandered... Wandered... Where was he?

Somewhere, lyrics were being sung by waves lapping upon the sand. It was a pretty sound, even if he hadn't been hearing it through ears swept up in euphoria. It was towards this sound he decided to wander, not noticing where he was going and where it was he suddenly found himself--which was somewhere he probably was not supposed to be. The scent of the borders stopped him, his mind not so far gone that he forgot his instincts as a wolf. He stared thoughtfully at the invisible line, feeling as though he could almost see it somehow... He squinted at it, a tiny smile weaving its way across his lips.

It never occurred to him to wonder what that strange scent of wolf was that tickled his nostrils. It wasn't as though she was walking nearby, heading straight towards him. That would be silly. No, it was just Summer and those borders.
