The male replied with a defensive edge to his voice. He seems to be controlling himself, she thought calmly. It was an admirable trait, but not one she was interested at the moment. She wanted him off of her land; he did not belong here.
"My pack has newly claimed these lands." The raven-colored wolf said with the same defensive tone as he. "And I do no sneak. Sneaking is for the weak." She stood there, solidly, as if expecting him to part ways. This land belonged to her and her pack, and there was no arguing that fact.
