The sun had been hidden behind thick clouds for two days. Since the fair creature had washed ashore and woken, the skies had welcomed him with plumes of grey and silver. Flurries danced with the wind until they were carried away.
Aerandír had found a grotto where he had made a bed for himself. It was cold and damp, but the sounds kept him searching and the whisper of the wind through the cracks in the stone allowed him to feel as though he was not alone. When morning had come, the fair figure slipped from the grotto and onto the open beach. Sunlight streamed from overhead. Behind it was a canvas of the brightest blue.
Aerandír walked through the sands in search of food.
