Jace was just not a social wolf, which was irony within itself, as most wolves were social. He just wasn't, he preferred his own company and knowledge. Knowledge could never hurt him, would never hurt him so he reveled in it.

She knew how he liked to learn new things, which was probably in a way why she was pleading her case using knowledge.
