Swiftcurrent Creek as the stars fall

Evening would soon settle upon them, but Scimitar was anything but ready to settle down as well. The agouti male roamed the edge of the creek, his paws sinking in to the wetter ground. His thoughts were seemingly hollow, his turmoil gnawing at his stomach. His life had drastically changed from only a year before when he had first waltzed in to Neverwinter Forest borders with his friend Luka. At first, he had believed it to be for the better.. now, after Bazi had pulled yet another one of her shenanigans.. he wasn’t quite convinced.

As the grey sky revealed hints of orange behind the cloud cover, he cast his eyes upon a familiar figure. Falwasi seemed like a potentially good fit for the creek, despite the dramatic interlude they had held prior. It only fueled the fact that none of the members took him seriously within the lead ranks, and at times.. he simply wondered if he should wash his paws clean of it and travel south. Kaskara would go with him, hopefully.. and he could even erase this chapter of his life.

Hesitating only a moment before moving to close the distance between them, the regal gave a nod of silent greeting to the she-wolf. He offered no verbal cue of anything – his teal eyes searched her features, hoping to gain any insight to her thoughts currently and finding nothing more than a closed book.
