Peregrine didn't answer her questions, he didn't try to defend himself. Nothing. Had he at least shouted back, reminding her that she had left the pack before too, Osprey would have accepted this as a good argument - Touché, mate. But no. His eyes briefly met hers, yet she broke that contact by turning her head to the side. She was disappointed, she was angry at him and at the moment didn't feel that he deserved any kind of mercy. Being the complicated creature she was, Osprey would regret the fact that they hadn't parted in peace, but it didn't matter that much now.

She took a step back and bared her teeth at the disappearing form of Peregrine and the few followers he had got. Then, without casting a glance at any of the remaining souls, she disappeared in woods, wanting to mourn the end of the lifelong friendship she and her brother had shared in solitude.
