Fox licked her lips, a calming signal both to herself and the stranger, and then spoke. "Yes," she replied, pausing before adding, "Though I'm not the only one." Testing the air with her wet, black nose, Fox realized this was not merely a curious wolf. This was a curious wolf without the scent of others on her. A loner and a potential recruit.

Thankful that she had taken some of Blue's herbs rather than Finely's, she took a moment to scrutinize the stranger's features. She was taller than Fox, though just as slender, and her eyes were a bright shade of blue. Her coat looked like a duller version of Fox's own. "Are you looking for a place to call home?" Fox asked, not wishing to dance around the issues. She was more of a no-nonsense kinda gal.
