She strode boldly forth when noticed, poised to give the other female a taste of ire, but before she could say anything, an unknown wolf appeared. Ptarmigan hung back and watched Falwasi suspiciously. She hardly wanted to pick a fight with the founder of an encroaching pack with a stranger nearby. Falwasi could have been pals with Meldresi for all the Alpha knew.

She made a thick sound of contempt in her throat before wordlessly turning away from both wolves. The bitch hesitated only a moment before loping off in the direction of home with her tail lashing behind her. She would find another opportunity to do away with the Blackfeather wolves, she was sure.
