It was fast Kaelan who was sprinting ahead!

Weaving through the trees, doing excited loops around them, sprinting hither and yonder and everywhere and nowhere and-!

She stopped, the trace amounts of muscle on her shoulders jiggling with the motion, sliding to a halt just before the remnants of a deer. The scent of cat laced the area, tugging her instincts, begging her take her leave. But she wasn’t listening, she was afraid. She jogged a few steps forward, tail coming up like a banner, the white tip a flag.

She clicked her teeth a few times, but there was no cat. The scent was older.

The cat had not been here in many hours. Kaelan snorted her fury at the thought.
