the preacherman came to town.
he'd made sure he was seen, coming down into the basin. first it was cool water on a hot day that drew him in. now, well...
his tail swung like a pendulum. he kept himself a good distance from the pale woman ( now at a second glance, somewhat less appealing ). the smile persisted.
evenin' miss.his voice was hushed and gruff, like it strained his throat to speak. his smile crack-of-dawn winsome.
