Amaguq bitterly obliged the blue jay's request. On a still night, the wolf meandered through the forest among the pale trees, raiding squirrel nests within reach. It was difficult to find holes in the trunks wide enough to accommodate a family of rodents, which he could reach by standing on his hind legs.
