Raven's Watch birds of a feather

True liberation is to no longer have any earthly tethers.

Those words clung to her in the many eulogies that were spoken by her mother, the most unaffectionate and calculated woman Mictec had ever known. It was no wonder that she turned out the way she did with a mother who make the suggestion for her daughter's exile.

In her travels, Mictec had rid herself of her family's name, choosing to adopt a new one that was inspired by her affinity for forests and her favorite bird, the raven. So to have found herself slowly scaling the mountain and arrive at a place where they fluttered about carefree brought her an uncanny sense of peace.

Oh to have wings to fly.
