Scents gathered and clustered like the heads of a hydra raising from the oceanic depths.

The scent of @Visala and @Nayavanti caused trembles as if he smelled smoke.

The presence of @Kerosene caused the trembles to reach his mind. His brain felt warped and contorted, trying to wrap around everything coming together. Not yet, but building.

His teeth chattered for a moment. He told himself it was the chill of the rain, the saltwater, the cold breeze.

The trail of @Ruin became a north star, something for him to follow.

He pulled himself together and became a slinking shadow along the coastline.
