Rokkur was willing to listen, and the words were pouring out of her. I lost them.. She spoke through a sob, her head now pressing into the shoulder of the other with the intention of hiding her tears. They were ripped away from me, and nobody believes that they are still living.

But I know they are. She insisted, though Rokkur had not said otherwise.

She grit her teeth. It hurt to speak of what had happened, even know. It hurt to see just how bitter she had grown.

She could not be happy because without them, she could not allow herself to be. She simply did not deserve it.
