Hideaway Strath in death's shadow

Mictec laughed, a sound so foreign even to herself but she couldn't help it. Hysterics or borderline insanity from being so close at death's door made her have no reason to filter such emotion.

"You're funny you know, wanting to know about me but this works both ways. You have to give in order receive."

Hunger had begun to subside but she knew she could not tear apart what remained. Extended periods of time without consumption broken by eating to rapidly would cause her trouble later. She had seen famine firsthand and saw it's consequence. Curiosity made her nuzzle the remainder of the meal towards him, a gesture towards extending an olive branch.

"My abuelo is like you, not much for talking about the deep stuff."

And here she was being uncharacteristically chatty, the way she would tease her abuelo to get a smile that he only gave for her. So her tone changed, her expression contemplative.

"I hope you don't continue this life of solitude."
