Cerulean Cape i like turtles

Firefly paused mid-step, glancing back at Kirain with a thoughtful tilt of his head. Her words carried a quiet wisdom, and though his excitement still bubbled beneath the surface, he respected her caution.  

Yeah, you’re probably right, he admitted, his ears lowering slightly. He stepped back from the turtle, his tail giving a slow, uncertain wag. It’s just… I’ve never seen anything like it. I guess I wanted to understand it, you know?

He looked back at the creature, watching as it shifted its massive body slightly, seemingly unbothered by their presence. But maybe it does know what it’s doing. I mean, it got all the way here on its own, right? That’s gotta mean something.

Firefly turned his amber gaze to Kirain, a sheepish grin tugging at his muzzle. Guess I got a little carried away. You’re way better at this whole ‘thinking before acting’ thing. His tail swished more confidently now, the unease fading as he stepped back to her side.  

I wonder, though, he added, glancing out toward the waves lapping at the shore. Do you think it came here for a reason? Like… maybe this beach is special, and we’re the ones who stumbled into its world. His voice softened with wonder, and he gave Kirain a sidelong glance, his grin returning. Pretty cool thought, huh?
