The wolf tore through the dense woodland in a flurry of fur and icy rain. She didn't look back — but she knew without a doubt that her companion would be at her back. No matter how far Shrike drifted, @Calfuray was always just around the bend; sometimes waiting, sometimes already ahead on the path.
She halted at the treeline, tail flagging at her back. With a few sharp, excited barks, Shrike announced herself to the vast grasslands beyond. There wasn't anyone there, she didn't think. But it hardly mattered.
